The Source of Peace

Welcome back to our Fruit of Spirit Series. Today, we are going to start learning about the next fruit – Peace.

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

PEACE

Webster’s New World Dictionary defines

Peace – freedom from war, an agreement to end war, harmony, calm, quiet.

The Source of Peace:

Psalms 62:5-7 (NIV)
5 Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; 
my hope comes from him. 
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. 
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God ; 
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

Psalms 29:11 (NIV)
11 The LORD gives strength to his people; 
the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Psalms 62:1 (NIV)
1 My soul finds rest in God alone; 
my salvation comes from him.

Isaiah 26:12 (NIV)
12 LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.
