2-Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Notes verse 2 — The mind is a very powerful tool. It is so powerful that we may not realize it is working for or against us. One thing I have learned in my lifetime is the constant struggle of gathering and thinking of earthly things. Here in verse two we can clearly see that we must have our mind right. Meaning our focus should be strictly on being prepared for The Kingdom of God. Yet I still find myself daily desiring the things of this world. It is built into or shall I say we are hardwired to want more. This desire is both good and bad. It is bad because we are constantly accumulating more things of the world. Yet it is good because it gives us the drive and passion we need to succeed in Christ. Where is your mind today?
