15-Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Notes verse 15 — Thank You God that You have called us to peace. I wonder though why we are not thankful. Times of peace have been the ultimate goal for mankind. Wars have been fought and many have died in the pursuit of peace. What does it mean to be at peace? (Peace – : 1. a state of tranquillity or quiet. 2. freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions 3. harmony in personal relations 4. a state or period of mutual concord between governments Or a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity.) Have you ever been at odds with someone or with God? In that time you find that peace seems impossible, but with Christ nothing is impossible. When we belong to Christ, we have become a member of a mighty fortress that are called to be in harmony with each other. Peace is not from man, but from God and only God can bring us to peace. In times of peace or in times of strife we must be thankful that God has blessed us with either of the two. This verse reminds us to be extra thankful when God has blessed us with peace within the body of Christ. So I say may the peace of God be with you all the days of your life in Jesus Name Amen.
