The Promise of Peace:
Philippians 4:8-9 (NIV)
9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me–put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Romans 2:9-11 (NIV)
9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.

The Purpose of Peace:
Eph 2:13-15 (NIV)
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. 
 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace.
The purpose of the peace of God was to bring us into a unified relationship with God and us.

The Wisdom of Peace
