Are You Ready?

Are you Ready?

I wrote this poem about a year ago. I thought I would share it with you.

When Christ returns
Will you be ready
When Christ returns
Will He find you serving Him
When Christ returns
Will He see you or His reflection
When Christ returns
Will your life have made a difference for Him
When Christ returns
Will you go to Heaven
When Christ returns
Will your Soul Rejoice
When Christ returns
Will you be ready?

No one knows when Christ will return for His people. We are reminded of this in Matthew 24:36 -“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

There is another scripture to think about. Daniel 12:2 – “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”

Christ gave all for our sins. Are you ready to go with Him when He returns?Hebrews 9:28 – “so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.”

Are you ready?

What will you do today to encourage someone’s faith?

The Great Command

The Great Command…
Some call it, The Great Commission…

Matthew 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.

1) Jesus Reminds His People Of Their Purpose – vs 18

God is telling all that confess Him as Lord to remember why they have done so and He is reminding us of the authority given to Him. It is by this authority that He commands us and guides us.

2) Jesus Gives The Command To Go & Make Disciples Of All Nations – vs 19

Disciples are made, not born. They are an ever work in progress of the Divine Plan of God. To be a Disciple you must first surrender your agenda and accept the Plan God has for you. God said for His people to not neglect anyone of any race. The people of God must never show favoritism toward anyone due to the level of the wealth or lack of.

3) Jesus Reminds His People That They Are Not Alone – vs 19

Through the command of baptism Jesus refreshes the minds of His people. He lets them know that baptism is a symbolic way of being born again. He also brings in the Trinity of God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit. In doing this, He was reminding His people that they are not alone.

4) Jesus Tells Us To Teach What We Have Learned From God – vs 20

We as the People of God must always be ready to share our Faith with others. We are called by God to teach or share what we know and believe to be the truths of Gods Holy Word.

5) Jesus Reminds Us That He Is Always Here – vs 20

It is a promise from God that He will walk with us in this life. It is comforting to know that He our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is ALWAYS here for us. Remembering these Truths found in the very Word Of God will help us to live a life that God intended.

9/11 Always in Our Hearts

As I remember the events of September 11th, 2001, the “Footprints in the Sand” poem comes to mind. The Lord carried America through this time and continues to carry as us as we face such rocky and uncertain times. I changed a few words….

The LORD replied:
“My America, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you.”

Please join me as I pray for our nation, all the brave heroes who put their lives on the line to defend our freedom past and present, and for the heroes and families who lost loved ones, the survivors, the firefighters, the police officers, medics, and volunteers from the events of 9-11-01. We will never forget.

Isaiah 43:2 — “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Isaiah 41:10 — “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Join us as we remember the moment that changed America. Help us to bring God’s love and healing to the many hurting Americans.

Be a Blessing to Others,

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Life is Fragile

Have you ever just woke up one day and your complete world had changed? That something will forever change your life. (death, heart attack, stroke, divorce, job loss, illnesses, cancer, etc). Yes, life will take you by surprise, but God gives us comfort in His Word, “Revelation 21:4–“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

My dad recently suffered a stroke. We are still waiting on tests results to find out more information. But, God will take care of him, because He is a child of the Lord. I love my daddy so very much. You can ask anyone. I am a daddy’s girl through and through. So, today, call your Parents, Children, Grandparents, Friends, and let them know you love them. For we are not promised tomorrow. James 4:14 reminds us, “Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.” Are you prepared if tomorrow never comes? Please read our How To Become A Christian tab, if you are unsure.

Each life is fragile. Especially those of babies and children. They are precious to the Lord! Even those in the womb of their mothers. The scriptures remind us of this: Psalm 139:13–“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” It truly breaks my heart when I hear that someone took the life of their innocent child. They didn’t ask for that and could not fight back.

About a year ago, I heard “Why You Were Sleeping by Casting Crowns” Here is some of the lyrics to that song.

United States of America
Looks like another silent night
As we’re sung to sleep by philosophies
That save the trees and kill the children
And while we’re lying in the dark
There’s a shout heard ‘cross the eastern sky
For the Bridegroom has returned
And has carried His bride away in the night

America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
Will we be sleeping
Will we be sleeping

So Readers, life is fragile. ALL LIVES!! Please don’t be caught sleeping when you could be doing something for The Kingdom of God!!!

Thanks for reading. Be blessed and Be a blessing to others! If you would like us to focus one of our blogs on a topic or one of your questions, please leave us a comment! May God Bless You this week!!
